What wonderful texture this daylily has! It almost looks like fabric. I've never seen one quite like it. The angle is dramatic and the black background makes the blossom truly pop.

your being kinda like a floral doctor..i getch ya told this flower "say ahhhh" when you took the capture..wink. the clarity is great. the capture of the light is great. the angle of the shot of this bright flower is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

You have a way with bold color - for sure.
This is one of the finest night florals I have seen.
The focusing of the petals is so sharp and crisp the crenulations have the appearance of gold leaf. The stamens are so realistic one could imagine taking the pollen from them.
I don't think it's possible to get any greater contrast than what I see portrayed with this take.

You have a way with bold color - for sure.
This is one of the finest night florals I have seen.
The focusing of the petals is so sharp and crisp the crenulations have the appearance of gold leaf. The stamens are so realistic one could imagine taking the pollen from them.
I don't think it's possible to get any greater contrast than what I see portrayed with this take.

Your photo is also pin sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen both in the petals and the stamens, I also think the exposure is spot on.
The tight cropping is working well and the lily has got a fine placement within the frame. It is a truly lovely and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.

Thank you....I did it with the flash on my cell phone. It was still light enough for the phone to autofocus
