Nice work here. I like the way you included a recognizable flower with such a complimentary color match. Proportions look great as does the detail. Shine barely showing but present on his eyes. Insects are always an amazing thing to observe. Well done.

Oh wasps and I have had some tough times over the years....my poor dog too has had her 'issues' w/ them...lol
Despite that I really like you digital piece here (excellent notes too btw) Your Wasp (I think these are the ones we refer to as Paper Wasps here where I live) is beautifully detailed....wow but you've done it up so precisely....I can even see the little hairs on the legs. The soft color palate also makes it seem less threatening.
It's a really well done digital piece of this little monster...lol and I wish you the best w/ it in the contest.

I think we all have our Issues with those little monsters, but even being one of the largest species [1 inch long], this species is not aggressive. It hunts other insects including ants, but will only sting mammals and humans if it feels threatened. So don't touch them and try to tell your dog that those guys are not butterflies.

If I remember correctly it was me and weed whacker that disturbed them...lol....OMG...disturbed them BIG TIME! Anyway, you are very welcome for the review. YOUR wasp is lovely!

This is beautiful! I love the brush strokes on the flower against the sharp rendering of the wasp.The bright light and the shadows of the wasp are very well done. The gray green back ground is a perfect shade. Great job!
