This is an exceptional photograph! I think yellow flowers are the HARDEST color to photograph, and the proof is in my trash file! Congratulations on capturing the correct color, fine cropping, and overall subject composition.

This is a lovely capture of what I know as Tickseed...or yes..Coreopsis. I appreciate your artist notes in clarifying when this can be called a weed...as I have planted these seeds in my gardens for the glorious yellow that you have successfully captured here. And for the ferny and airy foliage.
I like your perspective...from the side and somewhat beneath the flowers. You have great detail and have included the surrounding plants in your frame..showing about 3 different phases of its growth. Nice work! Your bg is a beautiful, soft green...with just that sprinkling of stems and smaller flowers to tell the story of the location of this flower. Excellent throughout and a pleasure to view. Good luck in the contest!
