Oh not to worry Catmal. You are more than generous w/ my pieces and i am always flattered by that. I need to get some more new 'Big Pics' (that's what I call them when I shoot the garden as a whole...or part of a whole anyway) Thinking I need to climb up on my roof to try something different this season. Yes, it is stunning right now. Comanche and I just came inside and I have some gorgeous purple flowers blossoming today. Ooohhh...new piece for next week I think. Anyway, thank you so much for having a look...and for the wonderful review.

Thank you so much Lori for that wonderful review. I agree- white CAN be a challenge. I practice on these big white PEONY blossoms though and have the day time presentation down. Now I work on the white at night. Anyway, do really appreciate you having a look at my new piece....and the lovely review you've given it.

All those little crinkles and folds really make this noticeable, nice! Nice bright "shade" of white; the yellow gives them a good look; good focus and good dark background; nice job! Hope the weather is good up there. Take care.

Oh you are a sweetheart swimmer! Thank you so much for the really wonderful review and, of course, the gold star. I really liked this one a lot so I extra appreciate the excellent rating!! Weather has been tough this summer....tons of rain. Have not even considered having to drag my hoses and sprinklers out!!

Nice angle of shot and depth of field, but it looks like the photo was over sharpening and this distracts and takes from the initial impact

also, the light is a bit too bright

thanks for sharing

hmnnnn gg. Overcast day....so light was not a problem in the slightest....the white blossoms are presented exactly as seen in my gardens. As for over sharpening...well, hmmnnn again I guess. Thank you for your thoughts regardless. Appreciate you taking a look.

This is a wonderful shot of flower. You have framed it well. The light and shadows, colour and the composition have worked well. Good effort!

Our peonies are also blooming throughout of village but I am not sure if I have seen any white ones. These blooms are remarkable and stunning in texture and detail. Your DOF is very good. The close crop gives us a real good look at the ruffled detail of the blooms. Nice presentation.

My PEONIES are now done for the season Gary.....my wood stove (where I display vases of my flowers all summer) is looking a tad empty today. Time to go find something else to put there. Thank you for the really lovely review. Do so appreciate it.

Well.....my BB has Finally made the Change. She is now a "White Connoisseur" . About time. Of course you know it was MY Flower that pointed you toward "White Enlightenment".

"iPhone7, how is it that you can see these things"? "Deborah Ling, how is it that you cannot"? Ah BB, Both U and I are "beginning to see". As our vision continues to be refined, let us not lose sight of our gifts and destiny.

Oh, by the by, a great work here BB. Now it is time for your True Finesse BB and for only those few with the gift of the ability to "see'.

I KNOOOOOOW...lol...what happened to me BB. All those great colors out there and I post another white one.....I do think it was 'Steve's Flower' that prompted the big change....my white flowers are loving it....my colored flowers not so much...lol Thank you so much for having a look and for your very kind and thoughtful words. I ALWAYS look forward to your thoughts BB.

Dang!! If that ain't the most flamboyant white ya ever seeed, then ya don't know from contrast.

My first reaction was "OMG! A big white wedding dress with invisible decorative hand stitching. Well maybe not first more like 4th or 5th.

The WB is excellent. The off white textures of the soft petals contrast nicely with other shades of white.

This composition is very well framed. These flowers can appear to busy if allowed to crowd a frame.

I like the angle. I have always felt that tall flowers like small pets and children show more about the subject and are more emotive if photographed from a lower angle - Nez Pa?

I have other thoughts re this take but I have been on the road most of the day and I am tired - just checked in and saw this post. Couldn't pass up an opportunity to take at a look see what Deb is up to.

Glad I stopped by ... OMP

aww...you are a sweet guy OMP....I am glad you stopped by too. Could not agree more w/ your assessment of these often being too busy when photographed en masse....when I saw this frame I thought it looked like wallpaper someone's GrandMother would have but surprisingly, I liked it...and YES YES YES about the angle. I always cringe when people photograph their flowers straight on heads down....ho hum....boring...lol Anyway, thank you so much for having a look....always look forward to your thoughts and ideas on my pieces.
