A beautiful shot with very fine depth of field to keep the seed heads in such sharp focus. The colors are great and I like the texture in the petals and the great shadows of the stamens.

I was so delighted this morning MM to be photographing something other than white blossoms! ....and first time in days that I've been able to get a shadow of ANYTHING lol so thank you for noticing that! Thank you though too for the really wonderful review AND the shiny gold star! I do appreciate it....

An interesting flower shot posted here! Your composition does though suggest that the flowers are being stretched by the branches on the left and right. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well done!

Just happens to be the way they grow on the stem Nik. I assure you there was no stretching going on...lol Do appreciate you checking out my new piece and thank you for the fine review.

Grr you've beaten me to it and started Campanula wars!! I've just done a shoot of a load of these (different type I think though) and you've come up with this beautiful and well composed piece, taken with great clarity and showing lovely detail on the two flower heads, with the dark brown/green background accentuating the subject even more. Neatly cropped and overall a lovely crisp shot - great work. It may not be today, or tomorrow, but soon you'll see my attempts at the Campanula!! Lol :)

To me this is an outstanding job, the focus is great and the blurred background makes this flower stand out really well. I really love the information that you also give because I think the information is also very helpful. I to have a flower garden and I love to see different things grow. Keep up the nice work and thanks for sharing. JackJr.

It is always so nice to hear you say you enjoy the notes too Jack. Thank you for that. I just can't see posting one of these guys w/o saying SOMETHING about them. I don't think many here grow flowers as you and I do. Anyway, so pleased you liked this one enough to share one of your gold stars with it. I really appreciate it ...and the lovely review too. Thank you again!

They do have nice centers. Love the bright colors; purple, green, yellow. Interesting shapes, nice though; good angle; glad you could find them; good lighting; almost look like a little cup you could drink from LOL. Take care.

They Do look like a little cup swimmer...especially before they've opened this much. Thank you so much for checking them out and for the shiny gold star. Such a nice way to start out the FAR week and I REALLY do appreciate it.

This Campanula is really beautiful Deborah. Also I have this plant in my garden, but not exactly the same as this. I especially like how the two bells are placed within the frame, and also the nicely softened green background. It makes the bells standing out in an excellent way.
Your photo of them is also pin sharp and it is indeed sharp and well defined details to be seen in every part of the blooms. I also think the exposure is spot on.
The cropping is perfect and it is a very good balance between positive and negative space. I think this is a truly beautiful and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.

They are a wonderful flower, aren't they av! I actually like my dark purple ones even better but they've only just begun to blossom so perhaps next week I'll post them. Thank you so much for the thorough and always so well done review. Boy, do I appreciate THAT...lol

Cool,Deb! : )
Your photographic presentation of these 'dreamy' light purple Bellflower blossoms looks great no matter how a viewer might look at it and I'm really liking your addition of the subtle border to the image!
It's not one of those big clunky Monster Frames that I tend to go with but it adds a great 'Finished' look to the picture that I'm really enjoyin'!

I always try to add that pencil border Sean.....I feel it finishes off my piece....like a period at the end of a sentence I've been known to say...lol Always happy to hear your ideas re: my posts and thank you so much for the lovely review you've given these guys.
