a wonderful macro capture of this hibiscus syriacus flower; I like the tight crop around the column, with outstanding sharp focus and control of exposure for the white;

A lovely flower. They are related to the hibiscus. The white with the dark red center is very striking and your details are great especially at that center. A nice clear shot with natural color tones. Well done and good luck.

What a beautiful macro shot of this Rose of Sharon. I had not heard of this flower before.

The textures in the petals stand out nicely and I love that I can see bits pollen as well.

I wish you had listed your camera settings.

Nicely, done!

Does it belong to the hibiscus family?
Compact framing showing fine detailed features & soft velvety textures.
Sharply focused contrasting red core with the reproductive parts.
Verdant foliage lends a visually soothing backdrop.
Compact framing.
Tall format may have cropped distracting elements, right?

Bright lighting. Pin sharp focusing. Thanks for sharing...

    Thank you. Yes I do think it is a variety that will survive in our climate with cold winters
