Very nice timing and a great contest entry. The detail of the fish can readily be seen. I like how well exposed your whites are in the image and the bird's lore color and eye stands out nicely. Great job showing the detail and texture inside the pelican's mouth too.

Great stop action on this White Pelican in Breeding time. The bumps on the bill are only there during mating season.
You have fine focus, great stop action, Perfect timing getting the bill open with view of fish inside.
White balance is Controlled well.

A wonderful stop action picture of the Pelican at the second it has captured a fish in it's long beak. I hope it managed to close it's bill before the fish escaped the Duck diving behind it with it's tail just visible above the Pelican's bill is eye catching. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

A wonderful stop action picture of the Pelican at the second it has captured a fish in it's long beak. I think it is a rare shot. The bird looks beautiful under the bright sunshine He looks so happy to get food, and his mouth is huge, very good display for the contest . Thanks for sharing.

This is a very nice composition you have here.It has good initial impact that draws the eyes to the work.

It was feeding time for the pelicans at the zoo and the zookeeper was throwing fish to them. It was fun to watch and a great opportunity to capture some action shots of the pelicans catching the fish with their mouths. Thank you so much for the great review! And thank you for creating this contest! It's fun to enter and fun to see the open mouth photos other people have been entering.
