This is a rather strange-looking yet adorable species. It is refreshing to see photography that incorporates such animals. Tapirs are definitely interesting to look at.

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
If you shot this through glass I am giving you 10 more stars!
First thing I noticed were those yellow calcified looking teeth!
See how fun my daily job is now? PFFT. :)
The focus is sharp with superb eye Clarity and bonus catch light!! Yipppeeeee! Due to their black and white colors, they are a challenge to Capture and get clarity on their eyes.
Yeah you for handling both well!
Stop action/ timing was perfect here! My Shadow Eileen loves these guys..one of her Favorites at the zoo. But, sadly they are always sleeping..I have never seen one standing yet. You would love this place..no glass...no cages...
Fine camera techs... Good Luck!

Rare animal, close catch He looks exited about something. Simple background stresses the character of the creature. Thanks for the interesting shot

A cute & candid capture!!

Excellent choice of subject with exotic features & smooth coat texture.

Ideal off centered framing...
Nice high vantage point capture.
Dramatic illumination casting after highlights & faint shadows.

Thanks so much my friend for sharing.

I wonder what it taste like? Wink. The clarity is great. The angle of the shot of this critter is great. The capture of the light is great. The image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

A very nice shot. The light is beautiful and gives you excellent detail and beautiful colors. I like the catchlight in the eye and the snout in the air. Best of luck in the contest.

I agree, this is a weird looking creature! I think it's mouth is the weirdest. The trunk looks a lot like an ant eater when the mouth is closed, or a small elephant I suppose. Thank you for your nice comments :)
