You have done a wonderful job on the intricate petals of this flower! The colors are very nice and the lighting is realistic. The bug looks like a ladybug to me with light highlighting it's tiny back.

A really nice entry for the contest. I am always amazed at the talent of people like you who can digitally create such a wonderful work of art. The composition is just right with the contrast between the red flower and the green background. Great idea including the 'bug'. Best of luck in the contest ~ Steve

So eye popping to say the least. I love the flower and the gradation of color used is incredible, then add the bug...oh boy what a thought here. The background is so subdued and faded I fell in love. Therefore 6 stars for me!!

Strong visual!
Subdued lighting...
A visually appealing painterly feel with Fine floral features & textures.
Intense but the red didn't smudge!
I like the different verdant hues.
Nice perspective & narrow DOF.

Ah I see the little orange bug on the larger petal to the bottom right of this bright and vivid flower, painted with great detail and accuracy. And I can see exactly what you mean; this would appear a vast array of terrain for this tiny insect to navigate through if this were it's next route. The green background accentuates the subject even further and nice central positioning works well, highliting the detail and complexity of the petal structure well. Great work and best of luck in the competition! :)
