a good close up of these flowers; they look like a kind of small liies; good lighting and focus;
I would certainly crop a bit from the right;

Fred,
Merci beaucoup mille fois for your great review. I left the portion on the right as I wanted to include the shadow of the flower in the image I posted.

I have never seen this flower but was made aware of it because my lifelong friend, Tom Lynch, included a poem called Montbretia in his collection called Walking Papers. It is a fine poem as befits this beautiful plant.

Mike,
Thanks a million for your great review & kind words. I love the wildness of this Montbretia there is a cultivated species of it with bright Red blooms called Lucifer but I prefer this one.

Haha a lovely narrative telling how this plant "moved house" too - and is now beginning to settle and blossom slowly but nicely. Good clarity and lighting in this shot and cropped neatly showing minimal distraction and vibrant outstanding colours throughout the flowers, with the grey background contrasting nicely and the greens beside giving good perspective on this juvenile but sturdy young Wild Montbretia - hopefully many more to come soon eh! great shot and lovely narrative, good work :)
