I really like all the layers of petals this flower has and how they come together so delicately and look like a ballerina tutu! The seed head is a little reminiscent of Medusa! So we have Medusa in a beautiful ballerina tutu, lol :) The focus on the front seeds and petals is so crisp and full of depth which makes for a very attractive image.

Okay, I thought it was my turn to take a look at your profile and new work. I really like this one as well. The only annuals I have in my yard or called dandelions. They need to come back no matter what every year. And I think they get followed by the groundhogs and moles. My poor yard is a mess right now. Anyway, your image. I love everything about it. Thank you for sharing.

LOL....just LOVE your little tirade re: Dandelions Paul!! You are a dear for going to my page and checking out my new work and dropping a gold star on this guy. Was a delight to have a look this morning and see YOUR name at the end of a couple of reviews. Thank you very much!!!

I really like the combination of both extreme precision and focus on the graininess of the petals and the stems, yet the obscured and blurred outskirts of the plant; they both come together to harmonize the image greatly. The pinks and greens clash together to bring each other out more vividly.

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
I think this is one of your Best shots of this flower yet!
Focus is razor sharp where it needs to be and there is a dainty softness on the pink petals that look like Pink tulle from a ballerina's tutu.
How Charming is the name of this Pink lady? Love in the Mist! Its simply dreamy and over the rainbow Magical.
Your dark background is superb with a touch of my favorite color blue in the left bottom corner. My guess it is another blooming flower from Doc's fairy tale painting in which she lives in way out Yonder.
Fine work Doc!
Bravo!

I just love it when your review starts off w/ Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! Sange!! Your guess, btw is exactly right...that bit of blue lower left is a blue NIGELLA! Good eye! That's just the best review you've given my little pink ballerina. Thank you so much and for the extra sparkle as well. I always appreciate a gold star from you and will have to find the perfect blue NIGELLA to post for you sometime along. For some strange reason the pink ones always look the best in my photos....but I'm sure I can find a beautiful blue one too.

This is a charming shot. I am fascinated by the stamens and understand why you were focusing on them. You have framed them beautifully here, letting the petals play the supporting role. The dark background helps keep the eye on the feature!

Well hello there Anne! I haven't seen you around a lot recently but that could be b/c I am spending a lot of time out in my gardens. Yes....the seed head of this little blossom is absolutely amazing. Wait until you see what it looks like once the petals are gone....like a tiny little alien pod! Thank you so much for checking this one out and I do appreciate the very fine review you've given it.

This is simply gorgeous Deborah. This flower is stunning in its other colours too. You are right - the eye is immediately drawn to the centre and in this case the pink surrounding petals, because of their lovely subdued effect, accentuate the definition of the seed head. Great camera techniques and a pleasure to view.

Ah- you are familiar w/ this wonderful little flower then Mike. Definitely my favorite annual and well worth the effort it took to start it in my house way back in March! I always think of you as a ROSE fella so it is doubly nice to have you check out this guy and give it such a marvelous review AND a gold star. Seriously, thank you so much .....I do really appreciate it Mike.

What a stunning magically displayed blossom of perfection with all its layers so delicately preserved within the confines of this most exceptional photograph. The angle especially is the most perfect in order to capture it entire beauty in one swoop....each tentrical.....each petal so vivid; so inviting. This photo has the power to grab a hold of you and once you take a look, leave you powerless.... your eyes must stay focused on its beauty; its rare enhancing magical powers it seems to spray out like a mist.....so soft....so alluring....so perfect if ever there was a true perfection...if there is....THIS IS IT.
Every positive adjective I could use to describe this photo of this most spectacular flower is what I am sharing in thought only....otherwise I would be sitting here typing all day long....and I do have things to do (smile). I wish I could give you six stars. But unfortunately I am unable to do so. Therefore, I am sending you a cyber 10.
This photo is perfect in every aspect....from the exposure, the contrast, the clarity, the highlights and shadows to its coloring, lighting, framing and overall composition. I LOVE IT.
EXCELLENT!!!!!
Hope to see it as an entry in the photo of the month contest because it will get my vote and become a winner because all others will vote for it too.
Thanks for sharing and making my start of the day a special one. Have a great weekend. Take care.

This flower looks like a ballerina skirt, made from many lacy layers. The dark background makes tiny green strokes of the plant look like the ornament, and give us the imagination of the elegancy of picture. Thanks for sharing.

Wow BB. What a beauty! I like everything about this. From the sharply focused and contrasting greens of the stamens to the softly rendered pinks of the petals. The spike like forms add a nice touch of drama to the scene. Great work as always BB. Oh, by the way, This is certainly a Six and I have decided to use the majority of my six's for those newbies hat I think have potential and want to encourage them to keep going and hone their skills. So accept this Cyber Six and know that the Real six went to an up and coming newbie that needs encouragement ~ BB

That's a wonderful review BB...thank you so much. I always enjoy seeing what you think of my new pieces. ...and I thank you too for the cyber six but I NEVER expect a six...from anyone but myself that is...lol and then I do my damnest to satisfy my own standards. I am, w/o a doubt, my toughest critic. As for new members, I agree they should be encouraged and you have an interesting way of doing that. I try to encourage w/ my reviews and suggestions b/c, like you I enjoy seeing new members stick w/ it. My gold stars, however, are kinda special and I look for who has done a really fine job presenting their piece....including mostly the technical skill. I am never concerned w/ who's name is at the top...just w/ the job they've done. I do wish though that all members would spend a little more time w/ new members. We seems to go through new people really quickly here, don't we? Anyway, thank you dear BB for checking this guy out and for the really wonderful review you've given it. I always appreciate THAT!!
