THIS is the way I like crockery jars av....a little aged...a little worn...a whole lot of personality....and I for one am glad you didn't straighten it.

Just wonderful crisp focus here. Colors are so lovely and that beautiful green Ivy against the dark background is really stunning....and I like the vertical format. Well exposed....just put together perfectly. Gets one of my gold stars...easily.

The jar looks especially nice when a still life is crated with it. The jar is glowing in the well set light and it seems to create light reflections for the background.
The light falling on the ivy is as perfect and makes this still life very intriguing. I think some will say the composition needs straitening. Not true for this one. The light tilt of the jar looks natural, because it is set on wood.

A good perspective with excellent lighting show casing this vintage vase beautifully. Good camera techniques and good artists notes. Your contrast between light and shadow has created depth and interest in your photography. Your focus is sharp and clear with wonderful details and clarity. A good exposure and white balance. Your vertical crop works well also. This is very nice work and thanks for sharing!

Very nice work here Annie. I really like the way you highlighted the jar and rendered the Ivy. It stands out so well against the dark background. Very nicely done Annie ~ Steve

For just finding this along side the road you have managed to create a very lovely piece. Really well done with the composition and the vignette really highlights the wonderful colors. Good job not straightening the shot and just leaving as it was. Well done Annie

A beautiful piece of pottery that is greatly enhanced by the little crack. The image is perfectly exposed and the colors are fantastic. I like the minimal processing that lets the inherent elegance of the subject take center stage.

I totally agree with you, I would not have straightened the jar either. Your vignette around the focal point works very well to accentuate it and makes the colors pop, giving it good initial impact. I like the way the light plays off the jar on its bottom right giving it luster and beauty. Good technical skills are evident. Nice work.

Hullo again,Annie!
Here's another fine looking Botanically themed image that I'm enjoying very much,my friend!
The shadowy look of it imparts an extra element of interest to the scene!
'Good Show'!
