The overcast sky gave you excellent lighting for your very fine photo of New York City. I like the tall centered building; otherwise a skyline photo can look jumbled and without a main subject.

A great shot leading from the sky scrapers and their various colors to what looks like a bit of water but could be a cloud cover rising to see the blue of the sky.

This indeed a very good photo of New York, and you could not have been placed much better. A fantastic view. I like the cloudy sky as well, but still with a good light for a photo like this.
Your photo is of course also pin sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in the nearby buildings. I also think the exposure is perfect.
The format and framing is perfect and it is a very good balance in the composition. Indeed a lovely and well taken cityscape, and with an excellent DOF.

Wonderful cityscape! Great perspective showing the buildings in the foreground and the city stretching a long way behind them, all the way out to the water. Excellent detail in the buildings.

I have been to New York a few times and the weather looks exactly the same. Cloudy and grey! I love the POV of this scene. The city is a fabulous place to shot cityscapes. I have a shot at night in the fog of the tops of the World Trade Center in August of 1979. Reason I remember the dates is that my wife was 8 months pregnant with our daughter and spent her time in New York on her brother's porch swing. This is poster material for large family room wall.

An amazing shot of the New York skyline, being reviewed from here, the York skyline, - with no comparison lol. Great lighting and fantastic clarity to the piece, with a very crisp long DOF that shows in great detail just how compact and detailed this city really is, reaching right out until the horizon - and good use of curves and levels that almost create a sense of the curve of the earth - a great shot, well composed and not missing a thing. :)

Your vantage point really allows depth in the image and allows the cloud cover to feel like a ceiling. Loads of story telling opportunity here!
