I so enjoyed reading your artists notes and your art process that you follow to complete one of your landscapes. So much beauty created in this landscape of the Grand Canyon. A gorgeous scene with nice use of light and shadows creating depth and interest in your scene. Your brush strokes so beautiful with good blending and shading with colors. I love the vastness of your scene and the wonderful movement you have created. Worthy of a six star! A creative and talented art work. Thanks for sharing your talents with us.

Thank you for your five star vote and your comments. Actually, this is a pallet knife painting with limited brush stroke applications. Maybe some day I will be good enough to do a total pallet knife painting without brush stroke enhancements. We shall see.

Well that is one hell of a descriptive process you apply and to take over 200 hours..omg , but the result is good and the palette you use is excellent, well done

Thank you for your five star vote and your comments. I just though that if I could properly describe the process that it might be of help to someone else at a later time. Maybe if humanity spent more time making art there would be less time to make war. Moving on. The description is a very, very short abbreviation of the real work process text available in the works in progress forum titled Grand Canyon V on the asingularcreation.com website. Not advertising here, just directing folks to enjoy the complete event for the production of this piece as well as others if interested.

Superb work of art. I like this work because it is so classical in its concept and execution and in its atmosphere; The light, colour and the composition have worked well. Good luck! A virtual 6 from me!

You are amazing...I wish I had six stars to award. Your meticulous attention to detail has paid off in aces. There is great horizontal depth created by the beautiful sky and the variations in the canyon walls add vertical depth. The hours you spent working on this piece are very evident. Kudos.

A good long narrative explaining everything we need to know about the piece, which is in itself a great work of art - the depth of field (quite literally!) is very well defined, and perspective created well with the differing heights and the vast scale of the drop(?) and area beyond. The colours are earthy and realistic and the fields are painted with great detail and accuracy throughout. The contrast between the two halves of the painting works brilliantly - a great piece, well done :)

This is quite beautiful. Too bad there isn't a way to post a live shot of artwork so we can really see the brush strokes, and all the hard work that went into this. Beautiful colors and depth of field. Lots of fine details. I especially like the rock wall with the fir or pine trees atop it on the right. Great detail.

Thank you very much for your five vote and your comments. To see the production of this peace go to asingularcreation.com home page, look in the lower right hand side just below the big banner and you will see a painting with the long horn mountain sheep painting. Click on it and enjoy the journey. You can also click on my name under that painting and see other work.

Hi Carl

Wow, what a lovely scene this is that you have captured. I particularly like the sky which is heavenly to my eye. This is a sure winner in the contest, methinks! R

Thank you again. Sorry about that I did not see the six stars on my screen. Again thank you for your six star vote and thanks for your liking the sky. It helps confirm my concept about how to make the sky for this painting.

You must be a very patient guy. To create such detail and beauty has to take many hours a day. To challenge yourself by repeating your work on a larger scale has much merit but has to cause a lot of creativity on your part. The results are magnificent and you deserve a Kudos, my friend.

Thank you for your five vote and comments. These four painting, of which I have only finished three, have been the biggest challenge I have set for myself, at least painting anyway. Each of the three that have been painted took about 200 to 250 hours each over about a three month period of time, each. The last painting in a collection is always the hardest for me to do. But when it is done, it will be the supreme on in this collection. Unless, I decide to do another one, maybe.
