This outstanding cabbage photo belongs in a food calendar, greeting card, or cookbook! You have beautifully captured the textures, color, and veins. Excellent overall composition and cropping. The water drops are pure bonus! I look forward to seeing more of your food in pictures.

Thanks much for an awesome review. I used an HDR in camera setting to get the widest dynamic range, that helped.

A very nice presentation. I like the tight cropping and the fantastic texture in the cabbage. The water drops are great and the colors could not be better. Best of luck in the contest.

I absolutely LOVE this one! Green is my favorite color! And you have captured just about every shade in the green spectrum...in one cabbage!! Your Sony did a fine job in all aspects ... colors, details, light and shadows and dof. It has portrayed the perfect bed of leaves this head is lying in.
As for the photographer....hmmmm...let's see... subject chosen is full of natural shapes and yet geometric angles covering a globe of beautiful proportions'; exposure is perfect with no unseemly reflections or shadows; clarity is spot on throughout; dof is complimentary and deep; and last but not least...the photographer has chosen to fill the frame with this cabbage...to limit a viewer who may have never studied one this closely before. I hope they find as much beauty as I have!! I hope you took this one home or at least put your name on it! :D Thanks for sharing and best of luck in the contest!

It is a lot of things I like about this photo. First of all it is how fresh and crisp this cabbage looks, and I also like the close and personal approach. You have also brought out the great looking textures of the cabbage, and all the small droplets add interest.
Your photo is also pin sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the cabbage. I also think the exposure is spot on.
The tight cropping works so well and the cabbage gas got a very fine placement within the frame. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo, and I wish you luck with the contest.
