I also have an entry in the Macro contest, but honestly this piece gets my vote. As Macros go this is perfection.
All aspects of this take are in sharply focused and clear - that's what a Macro should look like.

I can discern each individual grain of pollen on each of the stamens.

I can also see the nectar glistening on the pistil.

The colors are natural looking and not over saturated .

The camera technique is flawless for the inner parts of this blossom. The background petals are a little soft - as they should be.

Excellent shadows from the stamens.

I like the tight cropping and central placement of the inner parts.

This is a fabulous piece and should be a winner ... B-)) Bob
