An interesting initial impact.
Impressive capture with the avian subject in a painterly feel.

Diffused focusing especially in the large scale.
Was it a motion blur?

Try enhancing the clarity...

Dynamic diagonal framing makes it interesting...
Nice cloudless backdrop.

Thanks for sharing...

This is a stunning capture of this New Holland Honeyeater. Beautifully captured and framed. Your focus is good with beautiful capture of natural light and revealing good details of the feathers and markings on this gorgeous bird. Your background compliments your overall photography. This is very nice work and thanks for sharing.

Your title made me curious about where is New Holland? The full and central composition tha you employed here, works pretty well in providing us with a good look at your scene! Sharpness and exposure are fine. Nicely taken!

Thanks so much, not sure where the New Holland name comes from I accidentally called the previous one uploaded New England - we are in Australia and I know the Dutch were in parts before settlement so maybe they named this little one :)

Hi Mary!
That's a really nice looking photo of this attractive bird,my friend!
He looks particularly impressive perching on hat twig-like branch and set against the pale blue sky! : )
'Good Show',my friend!

Excellent framing of your New Holland Honeyeater revealing a sharp and very colorful wing. Enjoy his open beak and how he clutches on to the stems as can almost see the bird move. Thank You for sharing.

Beautifully captured shot. The color and light bouncing off the feathers is unreal!
It looks like part of a natural history diorama.
Lovely sky in the background really frames the subject well.
Great job!

A very nice shot with surprisingly good detail in the eye considering the lighting. The colors are very good and the composition is excellent.

Thanks Mike, the lighting was a challenge - on minute no cloud then cloud and wind gusts :)
