Your Flox are gorgeous and almost look like a Poppy but that's just me with memorie of Veterans Day. Everything sharp revealing the beautiful pallet of vibrant red and enjoy how the petals overlap each other in a twist. Dark muted background makes them pop out in this beautiful cluster. Also enjoy the frame you created and just perfect for a photographic print. Thank You for sharing.

I agree, Phlox are indeed a joy to have in the garden and along your walking paths. These are memorialized beautifully. Lovely color, nice blurred background, sharp focus and well framed.

I love your notes....I think I have told you that overtime I write a review. But I sincerely do. As a gardener I can't wait to read them.

This phlox i stunning...and must surely be making a statement in your garden. This is a fresh color that sustains the summer into your autumn season for sure. This one has to be in your face saturated...right? Some are like that...and you have given us the true flower. Thank you for that! A complete pleasure to view this framer!

Oh 'in your face saturated' is the PERFECT way to describe it Becky....it literally glows at night. Do you know I have only one of these guys but have decided there are 3 or 4 other spots in the gardens that could really benefit from this great shot of color....so am going to add a few more of these next season. I have several other red flowers that I have trouble photographing (the color runs) but this guy never gives me problems. Interesting isn't it how the same color (but different hues) take such different camera settings?? Anyway, I always so look forward to your gardening eye having a look at one of my pieces. Thank you for checking this guy out as well....and for the wonderful review you've given it.

An interesting narrative about this flower I never before had heard of - the name when I first saw it sounds more like an 80's cleaning product! But in reality this is a beautiful and unusual plant, this "orange" variety is especially bold and colourful, with the petals curiously leaning inwards which again is not something I think I've ever seen in a perennial like this - I'm learning a lot today!! a beautiful capture of this bloom taken with great clarity and in nice, subdued lighting, showing the finer details of the veins in the petals and the short stamen, with a few buds emerging from behind - the dark green background accentuates them further and the angle you have chosen is good, capturing various angles of the flower and giving good perspective. A lovely shot, and well done for managing to grow these so splendidly! :)

LOL...an 80's cleaning product! Well THAT made me laugh Ed. It is always so nice when a reviewer reads and enjoys the notes I include w/ my flowers....especially when they say they've learned something new. So I very much appreciate your comments. Thank you so much....also for the wonderful review of my "orange" PHLOX. These guys, btw, are sooooo red it makes me laugh that anyone would have ever given them the name 'orange' Musta been color blind for sure!

I've heard cleaners that regularly used PHLOX in domestic work in the mid 80's developed colourblindness from the fumes, and many were forced to retire and take up botany ;)

This is a great photo of this red Phlox! The red color is beautiful and stands out so well from the black and green background. Very nice composition to show this little group of flowers with one facing the side and some buds in the group too.

There are low energy reds and there are, of course, high energy reds, but gall dang - this red is so far to the right on the spectral scale I really don't think it would even register on a color spectrometer!!!

If NASA aimed the Hubble Telescope at these guys they would immediately issue an alert of an eminent catastrophic "Red shift" and this part of Vermont was about to go NOVA!

Thank goodness that the inner parts are of a contrasting white, otherwise I think one might go blind looking at these wonders for to long.

Tell me, does the color resonate so boldly at night that you need to pull the shades down in order to get some sleep?

So here is the official review: I see upper level technical expertise combined with sensitive, caring, creative artistry to produce a work of dynamic beauty that is worth every star ... OMP

LOL...I LOVE your assessment of my very VERY red blossoms here OMP! ....and I certainly hope NASA doesn't aim their Hubble Telescope this way and find me dancing in the flowers....lol btw...they do almost glow at night.

So this review certainly made me smile on this very dreary day here in NEK....while your last sentence made me say awwww. Thank you so much for commenting on the 'sensitive, caring artistry' I have said it before though- when the flowers see me out and about w/ my camera it's as if they all perk up and vie for my attention....these red PHLOX were just begging to be photographed. Anyway, thank you for a wonderful review and shiny gold star! You are a peach!!

A beautiful composition of a favorite flower. The way the light softly highlights the background adds visual interest. The reflected light on the petals creates a soft glow. Beautiful!
