Great showing of fall beauty. The soft light certainly helped with the DOF and light control. The crop is fine and red or orange, they are beautiful. The rich muted green background helps the flowers pop. Nice shot.

This flower is pin sharp while the others are slightly softer. The tight framing emphasizes the quartet further. Funny indeed that this bright red variety is called Orange.

I've grown flowers w/ some crazy names Cleo but calling this guy "Orange' has always just amazed me. Maybe the person was color blind??? lol At any rate, am always so happy to see your comments re: one of my flowers so thank you very much for checking this one out...and giving it a very fine review. I do appreciate it.

What a great scene BB. I really like how the dark background accentuates the bold red of the "Orange" Phlox. The greens in the background are a nice compliment to the reds. Great work on this one. Kudos BB ~ BB

So pleased to hear you enjoyed the notes and sounds like you agree w/ me that overcast days are so good for the blossom's color.....I always try to photograph my flowers on those sorts of days. Oh red IS my favorite color Sean....and surprisingly I don't have as many red flowers as you'd think so these gorgeous red PHLOX are a favorite of mine for sure.
