How precious is this! Love her red hair with the sprigs hanging down. Good contrast with the background and that beautiful hair! Great shading and plays of light. And I just love her expression! She is a little darling!

This is amazing, Jes.. The eyes are mesmerizing. Actually...her overall expression is the initial impact for me. I think this is one of your finest facial compositions...one of them. Your proportions are perfect and your lights and shadows have suggested youth and naivete....yet passion and a bit of stubbornness.

Your painting of cloth still impresses me.. You use very few strokes to create those shadows and light and creases and textures end with the creation of a gown of sorts.

Your background is that of a portrait..but also that of a stage... Such a lovely composition showing so very much talent. Thanks for sharing. I hope your future plans are going well.

She tells a story with her eyes. What a fantastic tale she has to tell. Glad you made her waist a little bigger than the usual starving girl. I like what you did here and wish you lots of luck, always.

Wow! I love the close up of this beautiful Ballerina your central composition of her is engaging and a close up of your extraordinary work. Your brush strokes so beautiful and profound along with blending and shading of color. I love the diagonal lines in your background of this art giving this piece movement and giving your ballerina full attention. Your white and gray tones make her facial feature so pronounced and her red hair. I love how her toe shoes are hanging over her arm and the wisps of hair from the back of her neck. Your details are incredible. A perfect title and storytelling with this piece. The eyes and facial features are beautifully done and so realistic and relate to your title. My only regret is I don't have an extra star for you....worthy of a six star! Outstanding work and thanks for sharing these wonderful art works.

Looks like one of the characters in Les Miserables!

I like the pathetic facial expression...sad countenance.
An artistic rendition. Monochromatic colors.

Excellent details & features. Impressive strokes & textures.

Thanks for sharing...

Nicely done image.
The brushstrokes and background on this one are amazing.
The look on her face is classic.
My kid sister used to have that look before practice.
Very thoughtfully composed piece with great shading and subtle hues.'
Good job.
