a wonderful rose, perfect shape, perfect central framing and great lighting with sharp focus;
the color is obviously creamy white, like vanilla ice cream and not pure white;

My first 6 of the week...I like your macro work. It is as good as it gets.

Excellent focus. I like the shadowing. Nice exposure. Great detail. You did a wonderful job on this. Thank you for sharing.

    awww...and I am so flattered you used it on my new piece Paul. I swear the flowers know when I am pointing my camera at them and put their best face forward....making my job of photographing them easy. You're a doll for checking out my new piece....giving it such a wonderful review AND sharing your first six of the week w/ it. Thank you so very much for all of it!

    lol....YOU are very good dear Sean! Your 'cool, Deb' made me smile for sure! Summers go way to fast in our part of the country I think. Thank you so much for having a look at my new piece....and especially for calling my ROSE 'elegant!' Always look forward to your reviews.

This is so beautiful, Deborah. I am so sorry I do not have a six.

Your life ins novel... you should start writing it.....as I would be caught up in the series and anxiously awaiting the next. I know you don't have time in the summer when you are babying your lovely gardens. But I think you should compile your notes and your life experiences and start your novel. Serious!

This is a stunningly beautiful capture of your tea rose. That term reminds me of my Mom. She did love a gift of roses. Your light and shadows are a compliment to this pure, creamy color. Excellent work... I'm glad you didn't receive the hard frost!

Thank always forswearing your artist notes along with your amazing photos! All are framers these days! :D

    awww...you are very kind Becky. I do kind of feel like I present a little snapshot, so to speak, of DFL's 'life in the garden' every week...lol and I often wonder how many reviewers really enjoy it so I do really appreciate your thoughts. Good thing I am a fastidious note taker w/ a very good memory!

    Thank you so much for having a look at my new piece and for giving it such an outstanding review.....and for appreciating my notes. THAT'S the best! You are a sweetheart.

Great photo BB. Hard to believe they are even talking about Frost! What happened to Summer? The simple overhead light works well here. The shadows are soft and gently enhance the white of the rose. Great job BB ~ BB

    No flashlights between the knees for this one BB...lol ...and yes, summer seems to speed up every year, doesn't it! Thank you so much for checking out my new piece and giving it such a fine review. How soon do you leave for Mexico??

    Currently in Fort Sill, Ok where I was a young Officer and Gentlemen (at least on paper) visiting my old stomping grounds. My beloved Battalion area and offices are scheduled for Demolition. Kind of wistful right now. Will be heading for Mexico on 30 September for one month. Then back to TN for Nov. and Dec. and then off to Mexico again for 4 months (Jan - April) in 4 different cities (Puerto Vallarta, Busaria, Lake Chapala and Mazatlan each for a month.) Hope to take a few pictures BB ~ BB

    Oh you globe trotter you! lol Seriously though BB...you need to take enough photos that I can pretend I am visiting there as well. ...and wistful I imagine you are for sure. It's good though that you are getting to visit there one more time before they demolish it all.

Looks soft and delicate which flowers are; good color; the shadow partially covers it nicely; black background helps bring out the whole flower; is that a little pink one on the right?; looks like it's been taken care of; nice shot; keep 'em coming. I'm here till the rain makes me leave.

    We're taking my Dad's mini van. He filled up today. I've got half a tank in my car but it's going to stay here to ride out the storm.

Lucky you growing your own. I love how you captured the way the cream center gradually fades to white. You even captured the texture of the petals. Nice!

    These three guys take almost as much work as ALL my other gardens combined Linda! Worth it though. Do appreciate you having a look. Thank you so much.
