Fred,
A beautiful picture showing the amazing beauty of the tragic island of St Martin as it was before "Irma" devastated it, leaving almost everything flattened & destroyed. Damage that will take years to repair with countless lives lost & many more changed for ever. Maybe though I doubt it DT may now sign the Paris agreement????? Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus. May God bless them & the world rush to help them SOON.
Susan

OMG! What a tragedy! What sins did the inhabitants commit for the war gods to destroy the island. Unbelievable! This must be one view of the lovely island in its halcyon days! Beautiful sight. Thanks for sharing!

Oh my gosh I've just read the news after reading your narrative and that is catastrophic. Such a tragedy. I hope they (and the other affected islands) get the aid & support they need and get back on their feet soon. Regarding the photograph, sadly now in a way it is a fantastic shot with great long DOF and natural lighting, showing the clear rich blue sea and beautiful white beach, curving round gradually to the corner, with lush green vegetation and huts and small buildings peppered along the shore. The clarity is great and captures good detail on both of these, as well as the people enjoying themselves in the ocean on the jet propelled things (don't know what they're called!) which also gives good perspective. A gorgeous photo, I dread to think what it looks like at the moment.

Oh supergold, what a lovely
tribute to St.Martin. With all the catastrophic damage we are hearing about from Irma
it is nice to see the beauty of the island. Hopefully and God willing this island will be again once more...

Your very welcome, its nice to remember such beauty after reading about all the devastation.
It really saddens me to hear what the people of the islands are enduring..
