Quite a nice and topical image posted here! Speaking as a Brit we have had rain and storms, from the west, blasting us for several days now! Like those tense and nervous plant arms!! Well created.

Hi Mark, I'm on the East cost in New England. We're getting Iss-sigh-ee-a on Tuesday Night. I hate it when they come at night!!! We're on the wind side of it!
I've always thought of Hurricanes as super sized tornadoes! Love the spin you put on this with your Flower people!!! I think I'll be doing the same thing you flower people are doing here. Love how you can take something serious and make the viewer smile. We need that!!!! Hope the hurricane picks up the virus and spins it out in space somewhere where it won't harm anyone! Thanks for the smile you sent my way! This so deserved a six!!
Take special care my friend from the hurricane and the virus. HUgs!!! Nancy

PS Check your message box! :o)

I'm so glad you didn't get hit by the hurricane Mark! Heaven knows you get your share down there. Looks like My Area is going to get hit, but it will be a tropical storm. I still don't look forward to it, but at least it won't be a hurricane! Love you image " We Are Hanging in There! :o) Nancy

Hey there Flood!
A nice composition to go along with your notes! Since you are still around a couple of years later, I would imagine you didn't blow away as these flowers are about to! Great detail and imagination on this one. Thanks for the share!

Yeah, nothing like a double whammy to make things interesting! Just what we needed,if having the pandemic wasn't enough. that's Mother Nature for you, never know what she's gonna unleash, maybe a volcanic eruption. Anyway, this is quite fun with the flowers holding onto the evacuation sign pole in an attempt not to get blown away, think they waited too long.Like their expressions as they hold on for dear life. As always, very well drawn and nicely detailed with those bold colors!

Wow! They are really hanging in there! I love the way you show them hanging on in the wind and the way we get a sense of the winds motion too. As usual excellent attention to the details well created funnie flowers in a fun and humorous pose! Well presented!

I like the humor of this piece and how fast you could come up with it being that Irma is still happening. The composition works with the vertical and horizontal lines. I like the blue arrow that points to the sign evacuation route witch points brings attention to what is happening in the artwork.

The sign including arrow is authentic to the Florida area. Thanks for the great review

very pertinent, I can't help wondering if all these disasters which hit USA happened with quite such frequency before the modern age. I hear of areas of sea dying because of pesticides washing into them from the States and all sorts of stuff. I supposed with such a large /and beautiful/ country, there will be many upsets, aggravated by man. Makes you wonder how the native red Indians coped?

They tolerated us but they live in their own world. The government can't enter thier land without a federal warrant. Thanks for the great review

Nice piece that speaks to the veracity of this hurricane season!
I like the way you have drawn it sparingly with the blacktop and gray beyond.
Very geometric and quite a nice composition.
Well done and I hope you are safe!

I am glad to see that there is a bit of humor and tongue in cheek. There is so much bad news and storm fear that this is a breathe of fresh air. The illustration is perfect to represent the crisis but also to help take our minds off the storm for a moment. Thanks

I can appreciate this work and your words. I am now on the east coast of Florida and have been through many hurricanes. The first was one year after I moved here..Andrew. But thank God we survived and this Irma will not get the best of us. I do pray for all those on the West coast and hope they do not suffer the effects like those in Texas with Harvey. Thanks for your support always.
