Beautiful scene with the mist in the distance and gorgeous sky and cloud formation. So much beauty in your scene with excellent composition and nice movement in your scene with beautiful lighting. This is very nice work and thanks for sharing!

Aptly captured for the comp...
A grand vista.
Scenic location with unique architectural structure clustered atop this panoramic cliff.
Natural colors.
Subtle illumination.
Long DOF.

Best of luck in the contest!

A beautiful photograph. It looks antique with the buildings and the color. I like how you have captured the sky and sea. Good luck in the contest.

This photo appears like an old European landscape painting. You have beautifully captured important and interesting elements of a landscape: land, architecture, sea, sky, and nature in the form of the flock of birds. Couldn't ask for a better composition.

Wow! I like this work because it is so classical in its concept and execution and in its atmosphere; The light, colour and the composition have worked well. Good luck in the contest!

A beautiful scene. I like the way the village is perched above the sea on that hillside. The colors are beautiful and the composition is excellent. Best of luck in the contest.

It looks much older than 19th century. I thought it might be a medieval settlement before reading your interesting comments. The view is as intriguing as it is informative. I clearly see added foundations which warrants a firm and level basis for the buildings. I also see parts of a road. It seems as if the clusters of trees are planted purposefully to secure the mountainside and warrant the runoff of water.
The colors add a nostalgic note and intensify the feel of looking at an historic settlement. The city and mountainside are excellently placed into the frame. The photo is balanced and the view eye pleasing. It also has in impressive dept.

I think you have misunderstood the notes Cleo, but I did read them over again and can see why. This settlement is very old, and is first mentioned in a about the 14th century. Thanks a lot for the review.
