Wow! Up close and person with the Liberty Bell - cool. I have been to see this great icon as well. This is a great shot - nice warm color tones of the metal surface. Good work.

I never saw the liberty bell close up. Thanks for sharing. I like the way it glows at the bottom. I like the composition with the diagonal crack and the jagged edge of the bottom.

Hi there and thank you for this post. My husband ran the Philly Marathon so your shot stirs my memories and emotions.

I like the close up, however , if you can, I would darken the bottom yellow background, if you do this the bell would pop out for you....remember that it is the normal pathway of the eye to gravitate to the brightest spot on the canvas and so we end up going there and out of the photo.

You caught some great texture with this bell, not only the crack but the metallic feel is great. Is there a slight tilt ? The line Pass and Stow dips to the right a bit I think.

Thank you for bringing back memories for me.

A very nice shot of what is probably the most famous crack in any metal object. The detail is excellent and the inscription is well shown. Nice composition and sharp focus.

This is a nice photograph of part of our nation's history. You very clearly captured the brass lettering. This is the best photo of the crack that I have seen. You can see the rustic texture of the metal and the golden glow is attractive.
