Cool,Linda!
It reminds me of the statues and carven amulets representing the 'Great Bog Venus' of the Cro Magnons of prehistoric Europe! Some things never change, guess! : )
'Good Show',my friend!

Quite an eye catching statue. I like the setting with the palm trees in the background. Beautiful colors and fine composition. Best wishes in the contest.

Aptly captured for the contest theme...

An interesting initial impact.

Fine features & varied textures.

Harmonious color scheme...
Effective use of a one-sided illumination.

Better if more breathing space on top--tad tight there...

Good perspective & long depth of field...
Thanks for sharing...

I agree that it is a tad tight but I had to do that to eliminate capturing the distracting and ugly floodlights at its base. Thanks for your honest review.

How about on top, my friend?
reply by Dick Lee Shia on 19-Sep-2017
    The base is okay...;-))

I did not crop the top so I had no more blue sky to add. I don't know how to use photoshop and I'm not really a photographer ( as you can see). I appreciate your helpful suggestions and will keep that in mind for future photos. I am thinking of signing up for a class in photography and photoshop.

I took this with an iPhone.

Just a couple of steps back then tilt you phone to the upwards to get more sky...;-))

I don't know why the sculptor named it that. The plaque doesn't explain it. Thanks for taking your time to review and for your comments.

Nice image of a really awesome sculpture.
The lighting is nice as is the perspective.
I appreciate that you captured the details of each tile.
The v neck framed by the V in the sky and trees is well done!

Thank you! Truly, I didn't notice the background framing as I took the picture. I was focused on capturing the image without the distracting footlights at the base.

Thank you so very much! It took me a while to warm up to this statue. I hated it when they first put it up, so I'm surprised at the comments I have received. Just goes to show that beauty truly is in the eye of the viewer!
