This is almost the peace after the storm in colors...Beautiful. The light breaking through that thickness of clouds is almost a message of hope...at least with the most recent situation in Florida. I'm thinking this was a sunset for you though...as I see the myriad of people on the pier. You have captured that part of this story just enough...for one who takes the time to look closely at this beautiful composition. I like that. As the nature itself is the subject...no question. Your light and shadows have created clear silhouettes, beautiful contrasts in shades of pink, blue and lavender and that bit of brightness in yellow saying ,"See ya tomorrow!" I'm thinking sunset because I doubt anyone but you and a few other of us morning people would be watching the sunrise from out on the pier. :D

Framing is perfection...horizon...pier horizontal and vertical lines all balanced. The lavender gray water keeps calling my attentions! Excellent!

Thanks for such a great review. Yes, a sunset. It is funny though just as the sun disappears below the horizon the pier people break out in applause, I guess thanking the sun for such a nice show. People also bring wine along with them when they sit on the beach in their beach chairs. Not strictly legal, but no one pushed the issue either.
