Another really nice Capture of a Hippo with it's mouth open with only the top portion being above water. Great focus, eye clarity and nice water reflection.
Wicked cool to see them in their natural environment and not a zoo.

Pretty humorous photo. I like the way you left one eye and part of his opened mouth in the frame. The reflections are soft and beautiful. The soft colors make the hippo seem dainty. Good work.

What a mouth and can now see why they take so many lives. Excellent detail showing the tusks and powerful jaws. They say they will capsize boats on the rivers in that there are so many of them and can't be seen! Enjoy the small ears that look like hearing aid cones and protruding eye high on it's head. Thank You for sharing.

I love that you were able to capture him sideways instead of head on. It is well focused and lets the viewer get a great look at one of God's creatures with mouth wide open. Thanks for sharing.

this a great shot as you have captured what can be perceived as the whole jaw albet that the lower half is a reflection of the upper hlf of the jaw...clever ! Great focusing and structure to the shot...im thinking about a safari next year in south Africa..do you recommend Kruger park ?
