You have found a beautiful backdrop for this gorgeous Poppy. Your central composition is engaging with spot on sharp focus of the petals and stamen on this beauty. Your lighting is revealing excellent details. Your wide aperture is nicely diffused and the lighting soft, yet bright. This is perfect entry to the Poppy Contest and a good contender. This photograph captures the central parts of a poppy. You did a great job of capturing the crepe like texture of the petals as well as the sea urchin like details of the stigma. I like the way you used the fuzzy leaves of the plant as a background.
