Linda,
I am not sure what to say. This touches me as "Mary" touches me. For the first time I have nothing to say. My silence of words says it all Linda.
Did I send you "Mary" in a frame? She Commands our living room and our guests are taken with her. I do so apologize for this poor commentary. You and this portrait simply leave me without words. ~ Steve

Yes my lady, you have skills. And, it looks like education and training to boot. Nice rendition of the portrait with excellent use of various negative spaces playing with the positive spaces creating a dynamic form supported within that lighter negative space. I also like the element the unfinished forms of the hair and blouse. It give a bleeding effect of form vanishing into the light. Very nice rendition. Reasons for my five vote.

Love this portrait of Rachel Welsh. Did you add some a watercolor wash also? I love the sepia tones and then the black and white tones also in the hair. The proportions and likeness are spot on. The way that you fade out her clothing works to add interest to the subject. Very nice initial impact and technique. Thanks for sharing.
