Great and heartbreaking image. Hurts my heart to see such a beautiful creature hurt. I know it's part of nature and the balance/ebb and flow of life. Still, it hurts my heart.
Thank you for sharing.

That's a great animal shot you have presented here and certainly deserves a 6 but I am clean out! Your fine composition allows us a great look at your lion. I can see its knee joint has been damaged, but was this done in a fight? Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!

Ouuuch! That looks like it really hurts badly. You have captured his pain in a photo. The composition and storytelling are well done. Overall, this is a great shot.

I voted for this poor Sweet King of the jungle. Poor guy..that looks painful.

Fine capture, sharp focus, Controlled Exposure and fine entry for this contest.
Nice work!

    thanks a lot Sandra for your encouraging comments;
    my guide explained that the wound doesn't seem very deep but he is unable to run during the next 4-5 days and would only survive if his lady will catch a prey and share with him;

I feel so sorry for this great looking Lion with the wounded knee. Looks like he thought it was a good idea to sleep it off. Your photo for sure tells a story, and is therefore a great entry into a contest like this.

Needless to say that your photo is also really sharp, and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the lion. The colors and the exposure is perfect.

The format you have cropped the photo into works so well and the lion is well placed within the frame. Indeed a great looking and well taken photo of the wild life in Africa, and I wish you luck with the contest.

OK. I have to ask. Is he just down or did he really lose and get killed? I'm hoping just injured. Lions are such magnificent creatures.

Well framed with good exposure and detail. Focus is very sharp. Good luck and thanks for sharing.
