A lovely shot of this tiny mushroom, aptly named the 'Little Umbrella' or 'Japanese Umbrella' from the fascinating Coprinus family of mushrooms. I'm not sure how much of the effects are intended but other than the blurring which distorts the detail, this is a great, heavily filtered and artistic rendition of this little mushroom - leaving it almost floating in mid air and with a great contrasting background of brown with light flickers of light too. A lovely piece and best of luck in the competition! :)

A beautiful shot and a very fine looking delicate little mushroom. I like the light and the way the mushroom stands out from the dark background. I might darken a couple of the brighter spots in the background. Best of luck in the contest.
