Nice painterly shot.
This could be a wonderful basis for breathtaking oil painting.
The color is amazing. Like a wild miasma of color swept across the landscape by a mad painter.
Great shot that has me yearning for my days in upstate New York.

I too love the Fall. Especially in East Tennessee and the Smoky Mountains. The colors in this scene are wonderful. The reds and yellows are nicely contrasted with the dark foreground. The painting like look gives a nice soft feel to the scene. A good entry for the contest. Best of luck and thank you for posting this beauty ~ Steve

I too love the Fall. Especially in East Tennessee and the Smoky Mountains. The colors in this scene are wonderful. The reds and yellows are nicely contrasted with the dark foreground. I disagree with your statement. the best time to go to the mountains is any time...lol. I love the mountains.
however, that being said, you caught some wonderful colors. Almost too bright, but that is the nature of the glow. Good luck and thank you for sharing.

You are right, just to get away for a couple of hours makes it worth the trip. I have noticed that you have put quite a few photos on here lately and I missed the chance to comment on them because my mom had passed away a few weeks ago, now I am trying to get it together once again but it is hard to get started back up.
