even though its black and white you can see the pale face around the eyes, looks like you have his attention from a nap here as he lifts his head to look at you, lovely portrait, love the fur looking so soft as well

Yes, definitely, the eyes say it all. This is such a wonderful shot. You have provided us with the great sense of fluffiness, and softness. The love shines through.

Great contest entry and cute dog. Is that a beagle? Love the composition and the pose of the dog. The eyes are sharp and the dog is full of detail. Nice work and good luck in the voting.

Ideal choice for the contest, and a well nice close-up of this dog,the angle of the face makes the most of this one, looks a bit pensive in this, but still a nice one...brian

You win us over with those eyes. I think you did a really nice job capturing an adorable candid of his dog. The eyes really draw you in since their so sharp and from there everything else is just icing on the cake. Also like that your lens caught that catch light in his eyes. Your choice of black and white work well here and with a good tonal range. Your use of light and shadows creates differentiation in your scene. A great entry into the Black and White Contest and good luck. This is very nice work and thanks for sharing.

And who would not may I ask? Your nice composition captures a very natural dog pose. Sharpness and exposure are both good. Well done and good luck!

So beautiful! I really like the pose you captured and the direct eye contact with the bit of perk to the ears. I think the black and white format is very flattering and distinguishes the contrast in colors in her coat, and shows the fur texture well. The lightest spot on her face creates a heart or butterfly shape which adds to her cuteness!

A very nice photo, and I like how the white of the dog's face brings your attention to it. The photo looks sharp and the framing works well. Well done and good luck with the competition :-)
