Thank you for your review. I would like to know why you believe it is not suitable? There were no specific instructions on artistic interpretation. It said create art. Some like or enjoy a piece of art others do not. That is ok for that is what makes art awesome and we as humans, creative. As far as his pets they are melted. His interpretive mind distorted because of anesthesia. I am wondering if you happened to even read my write up.

Love your post with this picture. I think it got the spirit of it. This is just an excellent work of art. Primary colors on the left. earth tones on the right. A sort of joining of the differences on the bottom. A judicious use of lines. The expression on his face makes him look like a defender of the flag, even if he is at little confused. How the bulbous objects are formed and with that very little bit of green the same tone of the paint used inside the rooms of a navy ship unites the protector theme, at least for me. This painting just brings a smile to my face. I think you knocked it out of the park. Reasons for my six vote.

Dear Artist Carl, I am so very humbled by your review. Thank You. You my dear have a very critical eye and one for fine detail. YES!!!! I did use different color hues from right to left and a mixed bottom. Very few ever, Never see this. Your comment about navy colors warmed my heart so very much. My father was a machinist in the navy. Guess my brain is navy gray, and bland olive green. He painted many of his tools these colors. Thank you for my FLASHBACK! Good, great one! Thank you. Your thoughtfulness, sharp critical eye and review has brought so much joy. Not not for my Chewbaca but for the instance remembering my father who now is resting in the arms of Jesus working his Navy ship in Heaven. Thank you dear friend. Blessings Always.....Cindy Sue

Very good initial impact. The dog looks like my sister's Shih Tzu. I love how you have the flag melting on the side of the composition as it adds color and dimension. The composition and colors work well in this piece. Overall, very nice work.

Aww poor little thing!! I've seen it before myself a few times (having 4 dogs) , they get so confused bless them, and the look on their faces and behaviour is so sweet (and funny) but also quite sad as they are so confused.....I like to think they're probably having a whale of a time! This is sa great idea for a painting and also brilliantly well drawn, with great accuracy on chewbacca's facial details and front with his back leg outstretched (unless I'm mistaken) , and the great idea of imagining and painting from his perspective - the melted mass of colour that can be distinguished perhaps as marvel toys and other various fluffy toys, as though they've been in the oven for half an hour. A great array and use of colours, merged together well in a surreal style, topped off by that sheer look on his face, painted with great detail and proportion, and confusion!! Great work, well done :)

Great work and a great narrative. I would not doubt that Chewbaca. Yes they seem so pitiful after the vet. This is a great entry to the contest. Best of luck Cindy Sue ~ Steve
