Nik,
A beautiful picture of this iconic desert scene so often seen in Westerns with the people standing chatting on the rocks hoping not to be overheard, the high clouds racing across the heavens above. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

A grand scale vista!

Breathtaking!
An interesting initial impact of how minute we are when we stand vis a vis with Mother Nature!

An artistic rendition. Monochromatic foreground colors.

Excellent details & features. Impressive setting & textures.

Exhilarating!
Thanks for sharing...

Very nice image, and jealous that I was not there with my camera. I like the fact that you have the people in the shot. It gives it a little something to the image. I think that this could benefit from being angled up slightly. The sky looks absolutely lovely, but on the other hand, the FG looks a little plain. Have you thought about cropping a little from the bottom? Might put the image a little too central, hence the reason I mentioned about angling the camera up a bit to get more of the sky in the shot and less of the FG. Well done and a nice shot :-)

"What was that sorry?" (then echoes repeatedly with corny comedy effect ;)) Yeah that's a pretty big open expanse if you want to share a secret, have some time to think or simply sit out a bad case of wind after a chilli alone lol. Incredible as this image could be mistaken for some kind of termite mound or something if it weren't for the proportion given by the ant like group talking about you always messing around with that damn camera all the time, and you blissfully unaware haha. The long DOF is fantastic and the monotone brown of the huge valley and formations in it are brilliantly pronounced and defined. The white sky above accentuates the piece further, a classic and stunning shot of this unimaginably vast swathes of land. Great work :)

Or are they?
( I've heard that the acoustics in locations like this can be unpredictable and very interesting! : ) )
It certainly is an attractive image though,Nikman!
A 'Good Show' indeed,my friend!

a cyber six for this outstanding capture, something I missed when visited the Monument Valley; usually I avoid the presence of people, but here they are helpful;

Superb shot! what a great colour coordination by Mother Nature which to have beautifully captured! You have framed it well. The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!
