What a great shot. I absolutely love the colors. The layers of rock each have their own and then the sky and clouds compliment the land. Composition is wonderful. Good work.

This is a beautiful part of the USA, to me. I just love the raw old weather beaten landscape of the west and southwest parts of the United States. The air is crystal clear. The colors vibrant up close and faded the farther you look. You can see hundreds of miles when you look at the horizon from atop a bluff or better a mountain. It is quiet. I call these earth sounding experiences. You have captured all this in this picture. Reasons for my five vote.

Your photo is really sharp showing such clear and well defined details all the way through, and you have also brought out the fine textures of the rocks. I also think the exposure is spot on.
The format and the framing is just perfect, and I think it is a really good balance in the composition. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.
