He sounded like a deadbeat dad. Wish you had sued him for millions. :P
Great colors, lines and shading. His face is really good, I like the texture in his hair.

A callous and heartless act by your ex husband that inspired this piece, and interestingly began you painting it whilst in the midst of it - I am not belittling your personal situation at the time but this is an intriguing and obviously impulsive act for you to carry out, perhaps like second nature? The painting shows the scene clearly and solemnly, with him depicted as a serious, grey faced and darker coloured overall character, whilst yourself and the juxtaposed child/children are shown looking on in shock in more vibrant and bright colours, boldly standing up to him - a sad story but a great piece of art to express this act, well done.

thank you-- actually, it tells our story well, though I did not know it back then. Ex had a motorbike, my eldest son Shaun took over his role /bought me my home in Sheffield when he was sorted./ younger son fights with dad constantly, he wanted nothing to do with any of them, however, youngest son once asked if he could live with him- answer was no, then recently emailed him wanting to meet, the answer was no.at this age, little blonde son was eleven. I always had a pencil in hand, I am not a talker.
