These are beautiful examples of the colorful fall. I love how the sun dapples on each leaf bringing out extra color and shadow as well. All so delicate and fragile. Nice composition. Good work.

Autumn is my favorite time of year and I am loving all the Fall postings on FAR. Very nice view here of the leaves that have changed their colors in the foreground. Excellent DOF with a blurred viewed of green leaves in the b/g. Excellent clarity and nice interplay of sunlight and shadow. Nicely framed with good visual impact. Well done. ~Alveria

Being a Brit I am not at all familiar with your storms, but is 36 hours not an overestimate? Like your composition, exposure is good and your image is sharp. Nicely done!

Thank you. The storm was very slow moving and followed up our East Coast as what we call a Nor'easter. In winter a storm of this type would give us over 12 inches of snow and heavy wind all over the East Coast.

Great idea to get out there and photograph the autumn leaves before they're gone from the trees. These brightly colored leaves are beautiful. The background is great too.

Nice image of the leaves in the trees. The colours that you have captured here are very nice, and the DOF that you have used is pretty spot on. Focus is sharp and lighting is good. Well done :-)

Meg, I really love what you have captured here. The detail you have captured in the leaves and branches is amazing. The composition is good with the flow of the leaves from the top right to the bottom left. Love the muted out green and yellow background. It helps highlight and accentuate the subject. I just noticed that you are from Pennsylvania, too. Our leaves haven't turned yet as it still did not frost here. Are you from the Pocono mountains? It's nice to see someone else on here from PA. A beautiful scene in fantastic light. I like the selective focus and the great colors but think I might have included a bit more of the bottom. Perhaps a vertical or a little different perspective that would reduce the amount of empty space in the upper left.
