Very nice photograph of this flower. I like the notes that you provides as I know nothing about flowers. The black background sets off the brilliance of the flower. The little green stems coming out of the flower add interest. Nice detail to the overall flower.

Well I am happy to be introducing you to the world of flowers then Karen. They are fascinating. This one, for example, does all this in just a few months! Do appreciate you having a look at my new piece. Thank you too for a fine review.

Yes, these are so cool, Deb. Those seeds look like little alien creatures here spawning off of the stamens. Totally fitting with the other worldly spiking look of the flower. A great capture at the perfect life cycle moment plus the beauty of your night time photography. Great job!

...and they look much cooler at night Ed....like here. A bit paler during the day. Thank you so much for checking out my new piece and giving it such a great review. Always appreciate it.

Love you night images BB. I wonder if the seeds from the purple variety will produce purple flowers for next year? Do you ever save the seeds from unusual shades of your flowers? Have you ever purposely cross pollinated any varieties? Oh ya, back to the photo. Beautiful colors and sharply done as usual. You are the Best BB ~ Steve

Yes...I collect the seeds....they are not always fertile though so I supplement w/ 'starts' As for pollinating them, well....I just let the bees and bugs do it...lol Thank you BB for the thoughtful review....and being the first. Safe trip home tomorrow.
