I was hoping to dive right in and review daily and post daily etc etc etc, but right at the get go of 2018, I became violently ill....so much so hospital stay for ten days and then bed rest doing NOTHING was doctor's orders or stay in the hospital....It is now 25 days later and I am typing a review....my first or second this year....too few to mention, but still cannot remember at the moment the exact amount.
Nevertheless, I just had to say something to you about your winning photo here. I have been sitting here literally staring at it for....OMG 27 minutes. It has taken me away into another world so to speak. The colors are remarkable; the entire photo is filled with "something" that no word has yet been created to describe what this photo has...it is filled with a divine power that is beyond what anyone can describe....it is like a faith that you cannot see but here you can see it but still it cannot be written down....it is a "just know deep within ourselves...our soul" type of photo. I absolutely am enchanted. YOU CAN BE proud of yourself with this one and if I were you, I would submit this for "the right" contest elsewhere and YOU WILL WIN!!! Congrats on your win. Thank you for bringing a smile to this ever sad looking face of mine. You have blessed me somehow with this photo. You have given me something deep within myself that I needed....it has helped me be here typing away....I am on the road to recovery and I have you and this photo to thank...please do not think I am cuckoo....it is so deep.... you understand...I know you do...Others won't but that's okay. They do not have to.
QUADRUPLE WOW FACTOR and all the bells and whistles to make it THE VERY BEST indeed. Bravo bravo clap clap clap

Katharina, I sent one reply of my thoughts already and here are a few more. I too feel Exactly the same way about this one. I have sat and stared at it many times. Silently, motionless, without thoughts or words. It is GOD staring us in the face. As I mentioned, I cannot take any credit for this wonderful scene. My only part was recognizing the scene God presented, pressed the button and then allowed HIM to do the after photo work. I am simply Blessed to have been privy to actually see Him in action. Your initial capture was from a vantage point that brought your viewer to the beach level of this scene. That is a very strong initial impact for me. Being below hat wave is a surreal experience through your photo. Well done.
Your play of light and shadows is your trademark I believe....as they are calm in places...and vibrant in places...and full of drama in places...and full of movement in others. And each one ties seamlessly into the next. That is truly a gift that you have when creating your compositions...not only from behind your camera or phone...but with your post processing.
