An eye catching image with somewhat exaggerated colors, but beautiful composition shot from a fine perspective. Best of luck in the contest.

As always I am very much taken in by the beauty of this work, I can in no wise offer an improvement. It's simply wonderful. Yes I know about the breakers in life I have also been forced to slow down so I might mellow out, love the way the light illuminates the descent from the breaker. Makes it seem glorious !

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Steve...this is STUNNING! When you sent it to me I could not stop staring at it. The colors, the majestic light, stop action of the water as it flows off the breaker are simply breath taking. It draws me in.
An Ahhhmazing "Be Still and Know" moment.
Your celltography is the BEST on this site Bud.
I LOVE how your work shines light on what is MOST important.
I am honored and blessed to know you Bud...
Your Best yet!!
Good Luck!!

In ALL truthfulness I really wish I could take credit for this. But I can't. It is often so strange. There are times, like this, when I am 'Placed in the right place at the right time'. I 'see it' as if it is placed before me. I get into a zone that is not of my doing. Things begin to happen and I 'move with the flow'. It is as if I am there to push the button because I can 'see' what is about to happen. Take this one for example. I saw the water do something like this once and I 'knew' to wait, watch the waves and then go into burst mode to capture the happening 'live'. I simply floated from scene to scene, shooting singles and bursts and just flowing with... It is Truly a "Be still (in thoughts) and Know (actually there in no Knowing. It is more of an 'Unknowing'). Then in post processing the same thing happens. I simply go with the flow and watch as the creation takes life. It is as you say Ahhhmazing to watch. It really isn't me doing it. Man this is really sounding weird. Even I sit and just stare at this photo and have no clue how it came to be because something like this is Way Beyond my pay grade. Enough said. I don't know why I told you all this. It just seemed the right thing to do Bud. OH, Thank you so much for the Grand rating. Lol. Almost forgot that! It is I who am Honored and Blessed to know you Bud. (File this one under "Where is this guy coming from"?) ; )

The Be Still And Know...is Let Go and Let God.
He gave each of us gifts..tools..
You used them well and you showed off his creation of light...water well.
It has a glow.. a light that is Touched by HIM.
It's elegant and oh so Loverly!!
    ;)

This is a spectacular shot of this waterfall at sunset! You captured the motion of the water perfectly. The sunset colors in the sky and reflected in the water are absolutely beautiful.

This indeed a beautiful scene Steve, and I think especially the flow of water is well captured. It is also lovely how the golden light is falling on the waves, and the contrasts between the colors seen in the sky are striking.

Your photo is also nice and sharp and it is clear and well defined details to be seen in the waves. I also think the exposure is spot on, and the colors truly lovely.

The way you have cropped the photo is perfect, and with a completely straight horizon it is a very good balance in the composition. A truly beautiful and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.

What a cool shot. The capture of low light on the falling water is perfect.

The brown color of the sky reflected int he water is awesome also.

The dramatic cloud break from clear to threatening catches ones attention.

Well done and a pleasure to review!!

Thanks Pritt for your review and comments. I guess I failed to mention that this scene is from Playa del Carmen in Mexico. Just returned from spending a month there. Thanks again Pritt ~ Steve

Steve this one is breathtaking! I am in love with the sky, it is simply perfection! The waterfalls add a magical feel to the photograph and only you could display it with such incredible color. Beautiful narrative, it is what we are made of. Absolutely a pleasure to view. I am intoxicated by the entire piece, but the sky, well that is God in the right corner because I have never seen such beauty. Phenomenal!
I can't say enough to compliment you on this one.

Oh Marsha, I am truly honored and humbled by your wonderful review and comments. And you are right about God being not only in the right corner but in the entire scene. HE sets the scene and all I have to do is push the button. I am always amazed at HIS scenes and am just very fortunate to be allowed to push the button. Thank you for the Grand rating Marsha ~ Steve

P.S. If you ever want any of the scenes just let me know and I will send them to you.

Aww Steve thank you so much! I may take you up on that because I have a birthday coming up! I was going to ask you for this one! Youre most welcome
but this deserves every comment and more!

Send me your email address and I will send it to you. Consider it my Birthday present to you. Some use the scenes as screen savers and some have made 16 x 20 framed prints for their homes. Any and all are yours for the asking Marsha.

I was really happy to see this one up BB and think you were very smart to enter it into this particular contest. Perfectly titled and your notes, as always, are exactly right.

Stood in just the right spot and the low-slung perspective is wonderful. You timed it just right too...catching the water as it just partly comes over these rocks. Very very nice. Focus is spot on....as is exposure. You did get the clouds just right and the limited color palette is quite soothing.

Whatever it was that was distracting you dealt w/ excellently....can't tell where it was. Just a really well presented piece and I bet it does very well in the contest. ....well done here BB. Hope you're having a safe and relaxing trip home.

Deborah

Hey BB. Made it home. Stayed up all night and caught a cab at 3:45 AM this morning. It is now 4:30 Pm and I am tired. All went well on the flight home (Interestingly enough, as we came into Knoxville I noticed that we were not taking the normal path in. The plane turned several times and flew over areas that are not in the normal flight path. I wondered if the pilot was lost and missed the runway. Finally he announced that we had to do a go around as the plane in front of us hit some birds while landing. So we had to circle for about 20 minutes until they cleaned up what was left of the flock of birds off the runway. Kind of a cool way to end a great trip.

About this shot: It was one of a burst of 15 or so as I concentrated on the water flowing over the rocks from right to left. I made several bursts of the water doing this and also of the waves crashing on the other side (I sent one to you I think). So anyway I think there may a few more real 'keepers' in this sunset shoot. I will get to them eventually and see what treasures there are to be found. I have never gone on and on about things like this but I figure since we are BB's that it is perfectly fine (I hope). Thanks for the wonderful and artistic review BB ~ BB

Oh yes, about the cloning, there was this ugly black floating pipe running across the entire length of water behind the rocks. That is the distraction that I removed. Glad you could not tell.

Well welcome home BB! Long day huh? ..and laughed at the thought of the pilot being 'lost' lol....glad it was no more serious than some wayward birds. Gonna seem odd to not be on a beach somewhere tomorrow??

I LOVE this shot and very glad to see it on the page this morning. You send whatever shots you like....whenever...always happy to find you in the inbox w/ a little photo next to your name. Very welcome for the review and good job removing the ugly pipe!! Now get some rest BB!
