Colours look good, and the mist/steam adds to the shot, but the big let down is the person in the FG. This lets down the whole shot in my opinion. Having said that, I am not sure how good a shot of people bathing is...

I can't, as I have been pulled up about it by the powers that be. I entered into a discussion of what would make a photo better and the photographer didn't like it, so they complained about me. I asked what I should say, and I was told that I should only thank people, so..., thanks :-)

what people on this site ask; discuss technical problems and most important remain polite even when you receive critics and comments you don't like; and of course, avoid lies like:
"no one apart from you has problems with the photos on here. Quite a few of the other members have pointed out that you have done the same on their photos too"

Well that was a valid case, as you pointed out 2 photos that you had problems with and other people have commented similar. People moan about me voicing an opinion, and now I have been singled out. What I said was not "lies" by the way. You tried to ban one of my photos from a competition of yours without the facts, telling me I had taken the photo in the day because I used a filter. You jumped on a assumption when you did not have the facts and did not actually ask me about the photo. You told me that I had to change the photo and I only had 24 hours to do this. This is something that you should not of done, and you should of actually asked me first.

You also question that I have not taken a photo in a forest, as there is a well manicured lawn in the shot. Another competition that you are running. For a start, if this was someone's garden, they are very lucky. Have you seen the size of it? Secondly, I think that you need to actually question the other images that have been entered into the competition, which are clearly not taken in the correct place. I feel that you pick on my images, just because you are running the competitions and are making accusations without actually asking me. Who else would know the photo more than the photographer? Hence the reason people are getting funny about things on here, so in future I will not be debating about things like this, and I am hesitant in entering a competition that you are running, in case you pick holes in my photo with some strange idea that you have about it, when you do not have the full information.

Good artists notes and I like that your image tells a story. I have heard about this place in Iceland....but nothing tells the story like your photography. What a gorgeous scene of the bath in the Blue Lagoon. Good choice of aperture giving us such a vast view of this unusual place. A spectacular scene with blue water and how beautiful with the steam surfacing. A great entry into the have fun with water Contest and a good contender and good luck. This photograph reminds me of the historical scenes of the Sutro Baths I've seen in San Francisco. The warm steam rising from the service and the relaxed state of the bathers make me want to go there. A perfect entry for this contest.

What an excellent use for the hot water used in creating geothermal energy. The people seem to make a ritual of it almost like bathing in the Ganges. A very nice shot with great details and fine colors.

very cool shot and good contest entry. I love the misty water and all the people trying to be restored. The figure standing in the foreground adds mystery to the picture.
