Truly amazing detail. Love the sharp, contrasting colors. And the composition of just his head its very appealing. The feather detail is sharp and clear. Love everything about this one. Great work.

A wonderful shot of this Blue Heron close up, capturing a great portrait of the head and neck of this great bird with fantastic clarity and good lighting aiding the immaculate detail visible throughout, from the tough long yellow beak, the beautiful patterns on the head and neck and the grey/white down as well. The eye has also been captured superbly, almost at a 3D angle within the socket - almost scientific precision Barbara!! cropped neatly to minimise distraction, and contrasting well with the murky water behind to accentuate the Heron further - great work, very well done :)

Very lovely shot of this great blue heron. The composition works with the birds head and beak pointing diagonally across the frame. His winding s shaped neck leads you to the rest of his body. You have captured some wonderful details in his feathers and beak. Very nice work and thanks for sharing your talent. Karen
