I like your explanation up top in your artist notes. I'm giving it a 6 star on your creativity and execution. I love the bright bold red hair. It goes with her bold personality. The red roses represent love. It is everywhere. The details you have captured in the faces, hands and body's is outstanding. Love the yellow center that highlights and shows them off. Wow! A very gripping and as you say macabre piece which is full of passion and the real throws of pure lust and human desire. The Colours are fantastically chose and although subtly darker and lower lit in the painting, the dark claret red of her hair and roses in the background work well with the pale skin on skin colouring and yellow square in the background, which accentuates and emphasises the act brilliantly, and also shows the details firstly of the great representation of human form, with good shading highlighting contours & shape in the female's physique, and great detail in the facial features of the mid kiss with your decapitated head, I think a great twist considering the narrative and a subtle difference to the norm once the picture is looked at as a whole and the viewer focuses on this detail!! Great work and best of luck in the competition! :)
