Oh how kind of you Eva to go back and have a look at this guy. This is a much maligned little blossom and considering the awful things sometimes said about I am just delighted to have had it win Photo of the Month! Thank you so much for giving it such a wonderful review and sharing a gold star w/ it. I do so appreciate it.

This would look great in 3 D. Love all the little white buds and flowers. Good bright white color. Nice greenery backing it. This would look good on a hat LOL. Wonderful focus. Like the shapes of the buds and open ones. Great shot. Take care.

an unusual structure but effective with its curvature leading from one side of the frame to the opposite almost promoting movement within your presentation as if the wind has caught the top and caused this gorgeous bloom to bow or curtsey with an air of royalty about it. A beautiful image enhanced by the well done diffused background.

Beautiful shot! You capture all the detail of your subject and the name is appropriate. It does resemble a goose head. I'd love to see when the buds open.

This is a beautiful look at this plant! It's great that you were able to isolate this one lovely curving blossom. The out of focus greenery makes a great backdrop.

Your exposure is perfect and the details in the tiny flowers are excellent.

Your text was very interesting and informative.

The angle of the shot certainly shows why it is a "goose in the garden" I can see the eye, the beak, and the neck against the soft blurred background. A well focused shot, beautiful flower and quite interesting!

Indeed, a tongue twisting nomenclature!
Aptly named with fantabulous graceful curve...
Verdant backdrop pops out the densely packed stellar florets!

Sharply focused.
Well lit.

Nice perspective & narrow DOF.

Thanks for sharing...
