Hello Peglegdeb

Interesting growth pattern. I wonder if this bloom straightens out as the blooms open until you have a plant that stands straight up. I do not remember seeing this bloom before.
The overall image is beautiful and I love the bright clear white blooms. The background supports the subject very well and I am glad to hear this is a tough plant that demands its space. That suggests that time and patience will see these plants fill a planting area. That will be neat.

Thank you for sharing this one with us today. I like it.

Hi Roger. Happily it does NOT straighten as it grows but maintains this wonderful arched shape.....one of the most interesting bed in my gardens. Thank you so much for having a look and I do appreciate the very fine review you've given it.

Oh my! This flower and your capture is superb. This is a great title ....'Goose' in the Garden and thank you for your great artists notes. This white flower is stunning and a show stopper. Your spot on sharp focus and excellent lighting rendering incredible details. You did a great job picking an aperture that renders both foreground and background diffused, while keeping enough of the bloom in sharp focus. Your contrast in this scene makes this spectacular. Good camera techniques and excellent composition. Outstanding work and thanks for sharing. I love this flower and your wonderful photography.

You're the best Mary Lynn for mentioning the title. I was quite pleased w/ myself when I titled this one...lol But thank you even more for giving it such an outstanding review and shiny gold star. Lots of people don't even like this particular flower. I think they just don't appreciate it's simple elegance....but I am very pleased to see that YOU do! A woman after my own heart.

What an intriguing flower and I thank you for sharing it with us. I love that you captured both open flowers and the buds. The way you framed it in the shot leads the eye through the scene.

Yes, it's quite obvious in your nice "portrait" of your beautiful plant. Your full and central composition allows us to have a great, enjoyable look at the bloom. Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely done!

What a truly marvelous Loosestrife specimen, Deb, and you have captured its elegant goose neck curvature perfectly. Plus, the bloom timing is spot on so that the viewer can follow the stages of bloom from the green tips back to full blooms. Your composition, besides the perfect positioning of the flower, also has a very artistic arrangement of leaves in the background that enhances the visual appeal of the whole piece. The kind of shot that blew me away at first glance. Superb.

ooohhh! I just love seeing the word 'superb' attached to one of my pieces Ed! This flower, as far as I'm concerned, is much maligned so I was so pleased to be able to show it's simple elegance and your outstanding review and shiny gold star make me think I accomplished my goal. Thank you so much. I do definitely appreciate this.

Excellent at always. I have had Loosestrife in my gardens. And your artist notes describe it perfectly. I love that you wrote about them all facing the same direction...just like a bunch of geese on a pond. Perfect.

Your photo is amazing, Deb. Your clarity and detail is perfect and along with your various shades of whites in those tight clusters...you have given your viewer one of the most beautiful photos I have seen yet of this invasive plant. And yes...I the only way I rid my area of this plant was to lay fabric and rock... which made me very sad. One of those necessary things with the inflictions of aging. So thank you for sharing your most amazing flower photos. It is always a pleasure to view your work. Thanks Deb.

I somehow ended up w/ a yellow variety Becky.....uninvited and not nearly as pretty as this white one. I yanked it out for YEARS before I completely obliterated it.....and still keep my eyes open for it popping up again somewhere. Thank you so much for such a wonderful review. I have seen really rotten things written about this flower and thought it deserved to be shown honestly and nicely. Mission accomplished considering your review and gold star. I am very glad! Thank you again Becky. I do definitely appreciate this.

A beautiful flower and an fantastic picture. The florets are shown in fine detail and the colors could not be better. I like the background in this "daylight" shot more than the darker backgrounds you get at night.

Oh this is a nice one BB. I really like how you placed this one in the frame. Colors are well done and the depth of field is just right for accenting the flowers.
Has the cold weather hit you yet? Getting a bit chilly at night here. Oh, went to Smokey Mountain Natl. Park yesterday and met Paul (from FAR) and his wige. I can't remember his last name, but what a nice guy. They are really into hiking. He showed me a new lens he bought (weighs bout 5 pounds and is at least 10" long. A real monster. I think he uses it to take pictures of people mowing their lawn three states away! Any how, hope all is well with you BB ~ BB

Well hello there BB. Can't believe I actually got this one to post. Had a helluva windstorm last Monday and it knocked all ISP lines....must be the wind temporarily knocked them back into line. So you met Paul and wife...Deb? yes?? Laughed at your description of his new 'monster lens' That's dedication, huh! lol Not 'winter cold' here yet....but wood stove is cooking all the time and it's the typical dark, dreary Nov. weather...ugh Anyway, thank you so much for checking out my new post and chit-chatting! Hope you are all rested from your Mexican excursion!
