Great contest entry as it looks blustery cold there. You have captured a picturesque photo of a cabin in the woods in the snow. The detail in the house and woods are superb. The branches in the foreground anchor the house and give it depth. Love it! Good luck in the contest.

A great shot, especially for this contest. The composition is superb and the detail in both the cabin and the woods is outstanding. Even the light seems cold. Best of luck in the voting.

This is such a lovely little picture of a quaint little cabin in a little opening of a snow filled yard behind a split rail fence surrounded by big trees. It brings back many memories of being snowbound in the biggest snow storm in 30 years at Lake Tahoe, California. We had some friends who owned a Bed and Breakfast who we visited over a weekend that lasted six days. Thank you for bringing back that huge collection of memories. It is my opinion that the ability of photos to bring back memories is the primary intrinsic element of the medium. Reasons for my five star vote.

Good Afternoon

I am sorry I don't know your name. You sound like an interesting person and I am enjoying your cabin in the woods.

The background is very nice and I do like the trees. I gather there is an overcast in that there are no shadows. I gather there are also no people because I see no prints in the snow.
I like the cabin and I see there is a chimney. If I were to stumble across this while exploring the area I would probably stop and perhaps light a fire.

I see this as the source for a grand adventure and I hope you did explore the cabin and perhaps enjoyed some time here.

You take care now.

Roger

What a lovely narrative!
This photo really makes me think it is cold. The colors,
detail and focus all are very well done. Beautiful winter scene which definitely is a
fantastic fit for the theme of the contest. Best of luck,
Malmax

This is a cold wintry scene and so perfect for this contest. The pristine fallen snow and the snow flurries are just beautiful. The darkness and wetness of the woods give them a blue cast that also evokes a feeling of coldness.
