Lucky bird, that is a great meal he has captured.
The colors in this image are great. Love the background especially in the upper portion. The post on the right is probably well used on this body of water. The heron is great and I really like that wing action. The reflections in the water are also very nice.
You have done well with Topaz today and the colors are rich and sharp and beautiful. Really like this one.
This is a really nice story image and I thank you for sharing it today.

Nice to see that you are still around Willie, and with a truly beautiful photo as well. With the great reflection you have captured here I think this is a very good entry for this contest.
You have captured such a fine shine in the water, and great looking ripples and that the bird has a fish in its beak is of course adding interest.
Because of a perfect stop action the bird is standing out sharp and well defined against the background, and the exposure is perfect.
I also think the cropping is working well and the bird has got a fine placement off to the left. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo with a very good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.
