Linda , you have captured Madonna perfectly . I agree with you , so many of the icons are very sad .

Hi Linda,
I like your creativity on this one. I love that glowing background very much as it gives off an otherworldly effect. Nice eyes..they give the sad expression without even looking at her mouth. So overall good job on her cloak and headress..not crazy about her mouth and nose!

This is a great contest entry for the human form contest. The expression on the Madonna's face is sorrowful. The blue striped and red dotted patterns frame her face nicely. The blue one more so to the eyes and the red one to the whole face. The background color that you chose is very effective in highlighting the whole figure perfectly. The shading and tones in the face and clothing are superb. I love it!

Those eyes with the sorrowful look just grab you, they are perfect and the entire facial features are true to form. I love the shadows and blending of rose color on her cheeks. The headpiece is genius and the oil gold leaf background just makes it come to life. Good luck in the contest and thanks so much for showing.
